Free Family History Library Webinars and Classes in January 2017

The world reknowned Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, has announced its line up of free, live webinars and classes in January 2017.  Classes offered online are noted as “Webinars”.  Webinar attendees just need to click on the link next to the class title to attend the online class on the scheduled date and time. Those attending the Library in-person just need to go to the room noted. Attend with family and friends. All times are in Mountain Standard Time (MST). No registration is required.

New on Ancestry Academy: Short Courses and State Classes

Ancestry Academy has added something new this month: Short Courses!  This new offering will give you quick tips on one topic in 5 minutes or less.  This month we start with some of the basics on the U.S. Federal Census:

  • 1850 Census: An Introduction
  • 1890 Census: Where is it?
  • 1880 Census: An OverviewIntroduction to the 1940 Census

These short courses and dozens of other classes are free to watch, although you may be required to create a new login if this is your first time viewing Ancestry Academy classes.
