Telling Stories


There are several stories on our blog where people recount the impact a mother, aunt, grandmother, or other close relative made on their understanding of their own ‪#‎FamilyHistory‬.However, many of the most knowledgeable individuals in our families are those who will be leaving us soonest. Countless ‪#‎FamilyStories‬ are lost when a family’s elder passes on.By asking to interview your family’s storytellers, you can help make sure the rich history of your family isn’t lost forever and is passed down to future generations.“These are the living histories we tend to overlook and it is time to capture them before we lose them forever.” Beverly Morton provides some tips on conducting a successful oral interview.
